Top Tip Tuesday

Top Tip Tuesday

Hi Dolls, these are tips that I use on my self and on clients, I hope you find them helpful 😄

  1. Exfoiliate lips once a week, using an old tooth brush with whatever cleanser you would normally use.
  2. Heated eyelash curlers are great for adding lift to the base of the eyelashes once mascara has been applied.
  3. If your going to use dark eyeshadows or do a somkey eyes, try to do eyes first so if any droplets occur it’s easier to wipe away and doesn’t mess up your foundation.
  4. Lip liner is my best friend, I find it sharpens the appearance of the lips and using it as base keeps your lipstick on for longer.
  5. Applying individual lashes after mascara helps sit better into the natural lashes.

Hope you guys find these tips as useful as I do, please do comment! Stay beautiful Dolls. 😘

Eye treatments (Brows & Lashes Tint )

Eye treatments (Brows & Lashes Tint )

Hi Beauties 😘

It’s been a while lost my blogging Mojo, I would like to think I’m back! So our facial unit is almost done and I can say that I’m very confident in giving treatments! I received a Merit grade for my first pre-observation, it is going really well so far. So today I’m going to keep it short n’ sweet and talk about the benefits of having your brows and lashes tinted; Tinting your brows not only gives colour and definition to catch on even on the finest hair. Also it’s perfect for when your on holiday there’s no need to draw them on all the time, for those hot summer nights just use a clear brow mascara to keep them neat and defined, that also goes for your lashes plus you can pull off the almost no make-up look! Me having my brow’s and lashes tinted has cut 5mins to my make up routine.

There’s 3 colours, Brown, Black and Blue.

The Blue is actually very black but put applying that on your brows will turn blue, so keep that just for the lashes.

Brown is perfect for blondes and if you want a darker brown leave it on for longer.

Always use Vaseline before tinting application.

You can get  tinting kits from Superdrugs, Boots and Sally’s, prices vary from £7 to £20 depending on the brand.

I’m in love with tinting and I hope you Doll’s find this post helpful, please feel free to comment. Stay beautiful in and out X. 🙂

Summer Problems 1; Uneven Skin Tone

Hi Beauties, 🙂

Summer equals sun exposure, which can cause fair-skinned faces to freckle and darker complexions like my self are more likely to get uneven pigmentation. The solution is not to sunbathe, because a slight tan represents injury to your Dermis. The Dermis is the inner portion of the skin, made up of two layers and it is situated underneath the Epidermis. Which is made up of five layers, I will not go into too much detail about what each layer is or what it does because that needs a post of its own! However the obvious solution is a sunscreen formula with SPF 30 or higher and should be re- applied every couple of hours. For those whom the damage has already been done, investing in alpha-hydroxy acid peels. You beauties should consider the fact that freckles and uneven pigment will reduce discolouration, but the peels will increase your skin’s photosensitivity, according to dermatologist Elizabeth Tanzi, MD, therefore making sun PROTECTION even more essential. I’m still on the mission to find great products that does not break the bank.

Take care out there Dolls, caring and protecting your skin keeps you youthful and beautiful! 😉 X.

MIA

Hi Guys and Dolls, 🙂

I’m sorry that I have been MIA lately, still trying to find a balance and making time for my blog, beauty training and launching my Unfranchiased business. The beauty school (LCBT) has 15 units to cover that have taken most of time studying/practice; I really love it! So far I’ve covered day, night and occasion make up, body art, French plait, fish plait and facial techniques, which I’m pretty confident in, plus practice, makes perfect! There still so much more to learn and I cannot wait, also I do not want to bore you with all the terms so will show you the stuff that I’ve covered so far. I will make sure to carry on posting as often as I used to and hope you beauties are still enjoying my blog!

Khloe Kardashian inspired this occasion make up I did for Ana she was going to a wedding! Keeping the Smokey eye very minimal, using browns and 3 different shades of gold, with eyeliner top and bottom, double lashes and bright red lipstick, cheek contour and blush to finish off the look. Hair Styled using Halo Extensions, her hair is in a bob! So I went for half up hairstyle with loose curls.

Body Art Hand Animals, zebras and a swan guess which ones mine…The Toucan. Body Art Robot Leg, that was my first attempt!

Please do feel free to comment or ask questions, always happy to hear from all you Guys and Dolls ;-). X

Colour Correction

Hi Beauties, 🙂

I never really knew anything about colour concealers until I started my training at LCBT. There are colour concealer in Green, Peach, Pink, Yellow, Lilac and Orange. The process of using colour concealers is known as colour correction and it is applied to target problem areas and contains pigments which balances skin tone. I’m still on the search for a good colour correcting palette but I have added some examples so you Beauty Bunnies know what I’m talking about. The Colour Pigment correct things like:

Dark Circles – To cover dark circles using a peach, pink or yellow concealer to balance the skin tone before applying your normal concealer, for Brown and Dark skin tones using the Orange colour pigment is perfect.

Redness – To correct the redness on your face, you should be using a green concealer. However using the yellow will be better for photos, because the green will make you look washed out in pictures.

Sallow Skin Colour – The lilac concealer will do the trick.

Hope this has been helpful, enjoy being picture perfect. 😉 X.

Eyes like a Pro

Hi Beauties, 🙂

They do say the eyes are the windows to your soul, knowing the type of eyes you have, is easy to enhance the natural features. So by applying eye shadow according to your eye shape does wonders, this post will basically break it down for you and hope you ladies find it useful.

Wide-Set Eyes

Is more than one eye-length apart, like Kate Moss eyes and applying darker colours in the inner-corners of the eye.

Proportioned Eyes

Are equally measured all over like Cameron Diaz eyes, meaning the lower and upper lids are about the same size. Eyes are one eye-length apart, emphasise where the natural crease.

Close-Set Eyes

Is less than one eye length apart, like Jennifer Aniston’s eyes. So applying darker colours on the outer corners of the eyes.

wide and close set eyes chart

Deep-Set Eyes

Look like Kim Kardashian West, has a brow that is more visible and prominent, eyes are set back. So keep the colours light.

balanced eyes

Small Eyes

Have a short distance between upper and lower lashes, a bit like Jessica Biel. Light colours to lighten and emphasise lash line.

small eyes

Vanishing Lid

Have lids that disappear when eyes are open, similar to some oriental ladies. The lids have a flat ample plane, so by applying darker colour from the lash line and gradually lighter at the top.

Hope this has been helpful, and do feel free to contact me about any make up/skin care related topic you would like me to cover. Stay beautiful 😉 X.

Complementary Colours

Hi Beauties, 🙂 This week was my second week at London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT), I didn’t want to bore you all with the usual induction day stuff. Getting my uniform, ID badge, finding my way around the college and  ice breakers with my lecturers and peers, and what student services are available to me. However I’m super excited and happy with the 15 units I will be covering during the course and the fact that my two lecturers, Bradley Smith covers the beauty and Catorina Mcfaul covers the hair and photographic make up. It’s pretty awesome to have both lecturers, also working as freelancers. Therefore this makes the teaching more practical, so I’m going to try to keep this post short. This week we got to learn about, the right shade of eye shadows that complements your eye colour, also what benefits we gain from facials. However, today’s post will concentrate on complementary colours for your eye colour. DauphineDiaries Newsletter Sign Up Form

Complementary colours are opposite each other on a colour wheel.

Colour-Wheel

The colour theory and wheel allows you to coordinate your make up. Also the tone and depth of the colours depend on skin tone and eye colour. Have fun with trying out different colours that suits you. Please do let me know if you would like me to cover a topic in more detail.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend 😉 X
